The Royal Mile Gallery has been selling antique maps and prints in the heart of historic Edinburgh for over two decades and has one of the largest selections in Scotland. Located on the Canongate halfway between the iconic Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament Buildings it is positioned perfectly in The Old Town of Scotland's Capital.
With a multitude of stock ranging from anatomy, fashion, architecture, animals, highland clans, castles, flora, fauna and countless more it's easy to find something unique and personal for yourself or as a thoughtful gift. The walls abound with views from around Scotland and indeed the world with woodcuts, engravings and lithographs showing scenes from all corners of the globe. Hogarth, Landseer and JMW Turner are just a few of the artists that are available amongst the brimming shelves.
The selection of authentic antiquarian maps is vast, covering every continent and country including maps from famous cartographers such as Morden, Blaeu, Moll, Speed and dating back to as early as the 16th Century. The shop undoubtedly has the largest array and variety of antique maps in Edinburgh.
